Default China maps

New to the group and just saying hi.

I don't know if there is any interest for this, but I live in China and are making up a few maps from time to time, if anyone is interested, let me know.

I live in western China in Chongqing, so must of my maps are from western China or southern China. Mot maps are calibrated for Ozi explorer.

If anyone has any maps from China I would be intersted too.

Good to know that somebody is working on China. My mother was born in China and spent 20 years overthere. But, I never been there except Hong Kong.
After finishing my current projects, I can work on the contour maps of the China.

I fully agree, China maps would be very useful supplement within our asiaGPS forum.

Many of our map users are traveling across Indo-China and they will certainly appreciate the China part of it.
Thanks

Welcome kiwino1

Always good to get a new mapper to join us.

Did you mean to say that your China maps are made on Ozi Explorer?

Garmin maps are vector based not raster based.

Unfortunately, there is no known method (AFAIK) to convert from one format to another other than manually re-drawing them in vector format using GPSMapedit or other tools. We use Mapedit here.

Let us know one way or another.

Thanks

rutch,

You should not be surprised by this, most of the time google earth/maps are not exact but merely **indicative** so can not be relied upon to trace.

They are better than nothing for navigation tho'

Delta : Y dy = 7
Delta Z : dz = 254
Delta Semimajor Axis : da = -108
