    Contributing to the Vietnam map

Hi, I'm a documentary photographer living in Vietnam. I'm on a month-long motorcycle trip throughout Vietnam at the moment working on my book. I downloaded the R7 map and I want to contribute my track log as I've seen many new roads up north so far. Entire cities under water even with the opening of several hydro-electric dams.

I'm a pretty novice GPS user however and I want to make sure I'm doing it correctly. I have the Garmin 62st and I have it set to track with the most frequent setting. Is there anything else I should be aware of? Should I be marking things as I go like bridges and what not?

Also ever since I installed the R7 map, my unit will freeze up once or twice a day. Not really an inconvenience for me, just thought I'd mention the feedback as it is in Beta mode.

Really appreciate this site as I have just came across it recently. I will be doing the original Ho Chi Minh Trail through Laos and Cambodia in March and I will track that as well.

Both trips are being updated daily with geo-tagged photographs, local music and video: [Dear Guest/Member you can't see link before replyclick here to register]

Hi and welcome to the forum. I have moved your post to the Map feedback area of this forum :)
Please read [Dear Guest/Member you can't see link before replyclick here to register] as this will answer your question regarding the tracklogs.

Map freezing - according to your profile you have the new 62S model, right? There is quite a number of firmware updates already available for those new units - which may fix this issue.
Please navigate to the "Devices" section of this forum for the latest information how to obtain the firmware update.

    Thanks
