Now that MapSource will be (is/was) discontinued, this may well be the last chance for many of us to get a working copy of the software. Go to Garmin's website and download the latest MapSource Update (or just click [Dear Guest/Member you can't see link before replyclick here to register]).

But don't install it just yet - first, open the .exe file with WinRar, and inspect its contents. Enclosed you will find, amongst other files, MSmain.msi and Setup.exe.

First run MSmain.msi, and only then run Setup.exe. This will bypass the previous installatin check, effectively allowing you a free install of MapSource.
