Mapsource discountinued
Garmin has just announced there will be no further releases of the Trip and Waypoint manager software - Mapsource.

BaseCamp is designed to replace Mapsource in the future.

That is really bad．Ｉ never used BaseCamp and using older version of Mapsource．

However BaseCamp is gettting better and compared with the earlier version it became more stable and significantly faster.
The advantage is that BaseCamp also allows implementation of scanned custom maps (for supported devices i.e. 62 series, the new eTrex and Montana).
Btw. the GPSMAP 60 series is also discontinued and replaced by the GPSMAP 62 series.
