Very latest Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam GPS road map 2010 R7 is out for beta testing

    VERSION:2010 R7 beta

    Dec 2010
    ==============

A numbers of new POIs and significantly more detailed areas have been added since R6 map including several more cities.

Fixed all known issues on R6. New bridges, newly developed area have been added to the R6 map. All of contributed tracklogs have been evaluated and embedded on this map during the R6 to R7 period.

Special thanks for our members Alan for new HCM area, FlashNL for Hanoi area, jkuro for Hoa Bin area, franco75, schouten_tjeerd for HCM city and others. All map credits go to our mapper Ryo who did again an excellent job. Thank you all.

Other than Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia map still remains at R6 level due to the progress difference of mapping work.

Map is now available through the subscription area. Those who have significantly contributed to the map enhancement can also download from the subscription download area.

Have fun and a safe travel

Are you using any download manager? If yes, turn it off.
We have a 20 MB download limit per user per day. Every click counts, no matter you download finished or not.

Hello. I desperatly need some vietnam maps as I am travelling from south to north with on motorbike. I've got a Garmin Dakota 20 GPS, but I do not have the roads in it. Only the very major hwys. I find it a bit hard to navigate with this paper "map" and gps I've got. If I could load a GPX file or something at least... How can I download this map you talk about? In the R6 version, you said it's available via the Tools / download link or something but I can't see that.

    Any suggestions??

    Many many thanks :)

Sorry, I found the link. Could iit be that I had not confirmed my subscription yet? Anyways, it brought me to the R6 release which I downloaded, but wondered if I should not have gotten the R7... tried the "CambodiaLaosVietnam2010R7 .7z" link, but gives me a "Invalid file ID"

Thank you again for any help. Pat

    Thanks Lurkin.

Got a few problems. I'm wanting to pay for the updated one like you mentionned, but for some reasons, Paypal is giving me a hard time trying to pay with my credit card... telling me this card cannot be used. I've tried a fund transfer from my bank account but that's gonna take 6 to 8 days :(

SO meanwhile, I've been trying to install the R6 version. I run the setup as indicated, it just opens and closes quickly. No clue what I'm doing wrong. Same goes for the Thailand map setup. I've turned off FW, Anti-virus, etc.... nothing seems to do it.

Is there a way I can get a simple IMG file of Vietnam (and Laos if possible) for Download? How big would it be? I don't have a fix address, so a cd isn't an option....

Can anyone help figure this problem out?

I'm running Windows 7, Mapsource 6.15.6. GPS Garmin Dakota 20.

    Thank you.

    Pat

Perhaps a bit more reading - especially in the newbie section of this forum - should help.
The installation question has been answered here many times.

Right mouse click on the unzipped installer file, run as administrator
This applies for Vista + Win 7 users.

    Hi ravenlost,

If you are planning to trip golden route (take route 1 all way up to Hanoi or the route via Da Lat - Phantiet - Route 1 to Hanoi), R6 map is pretty acculate and completed. Our R7 map is newer and better but no significant change of route 1. Several cities along with R1, R7 map is significantly better than R6.

    regards,

    Ryo
