Vietnam - Logs [Hanoi: West Lake]

There's a nice a road around West Lake, and one of them wasn't covered at all at the maps. So here are 2 different logs. Since I'll be staying in Hanoi for a while, I probably be able to do different runs around the lake the next months. If you want to send me on other missions, feel free to ask. I might check it out on the bike :)

    Hi FlashNL,

Thanks again for the log. I got your log. It is another great log. I will draw the roads after I finish some integration of the huge map. I have one request to you, actually, it is below the request. It may be just a "wish". There is a new bridge on south east side of Hanoi to cross a river. The bridge called "THANH TRI BRIDGE" or "Cau Thanh Tri" was still under construction on 2008 but, I think it is done now. It is about 14km ride from Ha Noi old quater. If you cross the bridge, there is a ceramic villlage called "Ba Trang". It should be a nice place to visit. So, if you have any plan to visit there, please take a gps log for me.

    thanks,

    Ryo

well Ryo, you might be lucky, because my new job requires me to work in Thanh Tri District (as you might have noticed I'm staying in Hoan Kiem). I expect it to be near that bridge
Since the job is new to me, I might spend my free time otherwise than just walking around the neighbourhood, but in a while I should be able to get a log of that bridge. Otherwise I will it do sometime in a weekend on the bike.
Besides that I always have my gps with (for photo-tagging, because I love to get lost in cities), so if I got an interesting log I will put it here.

    Hi FlashNL,

I have one question to this west lake log. It seems to be the road around west lake is so thin. Is this road available for all the traffic including car, bus and motorbike?

    best regards,

    Ryo

No, definitely not! Busses can't drive there. Motorbikes can drive everywhere. Cars also in some parts. Is there no info available from Google Maps? I did the whole round on the bicycle, and it's a normal road, so motorbikes is definitely not a problem.

    Hi FlashNL,

Thank you for the information about the road attribute. I will set this road as "bicycle" only. On the google map, there is no such a information. It will tell one way street or not but not enough information to know other attributes.

    regards,

    Ryo
