    Exclamation Update on situation in Thailand, May 21st, 2010

    Ground clearance work done and CRES is working on 15 buildings in the area incl. of 2 hotels in Rajadamri and 2 hospitals.

    Col. Sansern expected the clearance to complete at 3pm and CRES will be able to hand the work over to BMA at 6pm today.

    Public services: Water, Electricity & Public Transport (including BTS & MRT) will resume operation within today.

    Recap - Thai government confirms its commitment to bring Thailand back to normalcy; situation calm around lunch time.

    UPDATE 3:45 pm: BTS + MRT closed till Sunday
    Banks and post office will resume on Monday, May 24th.

     CRES = Center for the Resolution of Emergency Situations
    BMA = Bangkok Metropolitan Authority
    BTS = Skytrain
    MRT = Subway
